* Jjuan Sanders and Keenan Lawson allegedly involved in Antioch drive by shooting on Gentrytown Drive

Police arrested one man Monday and are seeking his cousin in connection with a drive-by shooting in Antioch in March, police said today.The shooting happened shortly before 2 a.m. on March 26 in the 2800 block of Gentrytown Drive.Earlier that evening, the victim had been at a local nightclub when he ran into Keenan Lawson, a 25-year-old Modesto resident, and his cousin Jjuan Sanders, a 30-year-old Antioch resident, police said.

The victim had recently been involved in a bad breakup with a female relative of the two cousins. The three men got into an argument and the victim left the club, police said. A short time later, as the victim was parking his car in the 2800 block of Gentrytown Drive, a vehicle drove by him and the occupants shot at him with two different guns, police said. The victim was still in his car and was not hit by the gunfire. He told police he recognized the occupants of the car as Lawson and Sanders, police said.

On Monday, police searched Lawson’s home in Modesto and arrested him. Officers also allegedly found a firearm in his vehicle, police said. He is being held in county jail on suspicion of attempted murder,shooting at an occupied vehicle and making threats. His bail has been set at nearly $1.3 million, according to jail records. A warrant has been issued for Sanders’ arrest, but as of today he remained at large. He is believed to be in or near Antioch or Pittsburg.
