On 5/7/2011, at approximately 4:58 A.M., San Jose Police officers responded to the 3400 Block of Mt. Prieta Dr. on a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located three shooting victims, two of which were pronounced dead at the scene. A third juvenile victim was transported to Regional Medical Center where he survived.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were attending a house party at the residence where the shooting took place. The three victims were sitting in the garage of the residence with the garage door open. An unknown suspect approached the open garage door on foot and began firing a handgun at the victims. Three of the victims where hit with gunfire. A fourth victim was able to dive out of the way and was not hit. The suspect then fled on foot and is at large. Investigators are still trying to determine a motive behind the shooting.
