A man arrested on suspicion of killing a pedestrian in a hit-and-run in San Francisco’s North of Panhandle neighborhood early this morning has been identified as 23-year-old Jose Jimenez, a police spokesman said.The hit-and-run occurred at about 2:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Masonic Avenue, between Golden Gate Avenue and Turk Boulevard.Jimenez struck the 55-year-old pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. He also struck four vehicles in the area, police Lt. Troy Dangerfield said. Jimenez was detained and taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries. He is expected to be charged later today with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence, Dangerfield said.The name of the pedestrian was not yet being released this morning, according to the medical examiner’s office.
