San Jose: On 5/4/2011, at approximately 11:26 P.M., San Jose Police officers responded to the 2000 Block of Flintcrest Drive on a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who had been stabbed at least once. The victim was transported to Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 12:01 A.M.
The preliminary investigation into the stabbing revealed that the victim was attending a barbecue in celebration of the Cinco de Mayo holiday. A verbal altercation ensued, during which time an unknown suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. This incident was San Jose’s 16th homicide of 2011.
