* AT&T Employee Finds Device Inside a Utility Box in Vacaville

A telephone service technician spotted a suspicious device inside a utility box in Vacaville late Saturday morning, and a bomb squad was called out to investigate, according to police. An AT&T employee was performing routine maintenance when he saw a suspicious device wired to telephone lines in a utility box on the 1000 block of Allison Drive at about 11:55 a.m., police said. The Yolo County Bomb Squad was called out, and responding officers determined the device was non-explosive, according to police. Officers are still investigating the origins of the device and if it is related to any criminal activity. No injuries were reported.
