* Monona Police Shooting Caught on Tape-Watch Here
Published by Junior Staff Writer on April 30, 2011
Here is an example of the split second decisions that police officers have make in life threatening situations. Fortunately the only person to lose his life was the criminal. The shooting was captured on the police car dash camera. Many police officers and citizens are angry that after the investigation, news reports use headlines like Charges Won’t Be Filed Against The Officer. They feel this type of wording casts a negative cloud on the officer and insinuates the officer may have committed a crime. Why do police officers always have to be treated as if they committed a crime when they defend themselves? Watch the video and news report below and then tell us what you think?
