* San Francisco Police Release Sketch of Sexual Assault Suspect

ID #11-127

Police have released a sketch of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman last weekend. A woman was entering her apartment in the 300 block of Carl Street last Saturday when a man followed her inside the lobby, grabbed her from behind and began sexually assaulting her, police said. The woman kicked the suspect numerous times, prompting the man to flee outside of the building and onto Carl Street, according to police. Police arrived at the scene, but were unable to locate the man.

Officers described the suspect as a white man in his mid 20s who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds with short, straight, light brown hair and light stubble or a goatee on his chin. The man was last seen wearing a brown or dark green pullover sweatshirt, which the woman thought was made out of hemp, police said. He was also wearing blue jeans and a tan-colored hemp necklace, police said.
