Fairfield police arrested a man for allegedly brandishing a knife and crowbar at his ex-girlfriend in violation of a domestic violence restraining order this morning.The woman called police around 11:20 a.m. to report her ex-boyfriend threatened her with a knife and was now chasing her in his car on Kennedy Court, Officer Cleo Mayoral said.
The suspect, Nickolas Ebling, 23, of Fairfield, had a four-year relationship with the woman and the couple has two children, Mayoral said.Ebling was prohibited from contacting her under a domestic violence restraining order, Mayoral said.While chasing his ex-girlfriend in his car, Ebling brandished a knife and a crowbar in an angry and threatening manner, Mayoral said.
Police caught up to Ebling and tried to pull his vehicle over, but Ebling sped away, Mayoral said.Police chased him for seven miles as Ebling ran stop signs and red lights before he stopped in front of his residence in the 2500 block of Sunrise Drive, Mayoral said.Ebling was booked at Solano County Jail for violating the restraining order, brandishing a deadly weapon and evading police, Mayoral said.
