* Luis Colmenero arrested for alleged recording video footage up the skirts of female customers inside Burlington Coat Factory, Milpitas

Police have arrested a man suspected of recording video footage up the skirts of female customers inside a Milpitas department store last week.At about 6:25 p.m. on April 11, Milpitas police received reports that a man was walking through the Burlington Coat Factory at 1400 Great Mall Drive and stretching his arm under the skirts of female shoppers to record videos of their undergarments with his cell phone.

Officers arrived at the store and approached the man, and found him to be in possession of a video camera and a cell phone, police said. The video camera had been strapped to his shoe, according to police.The man was identified as 42-year-old Jorge Luis Colmenero. Investigators reviewed Colmenero’s footage and discovered that he had also allegedly touched a young girl inappropriately,according to police.Colmenero was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of surreptitiously recording video for sexual gratification, annoying or molesting a child under 18, and sexual battery.Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Milpitas police at (408) 586-2400.
