The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office today identified the victim of a Sunday morning fatal shooting inside a San Jose home as 25-year-old Marco Paredes.Paredes, of San Jose, was found fatally shot when police officers responded at about 6 a.m. to a reported shooting at a home in the 1500 block of South Capitol Avenue, police said. Paramedics pronounced Paredes dead at the scene.
Investigators have identified Mario Jesus Hernandez, 22, of San Jose, as the suspect who allegedly entered the home, shot the victim, and fled before police arrived.Police said Hernandez was somehow associated with the residence, but the exact nature of the relationship between him and the victim remains under investigation.A no-bail warrant has been issued for Hernandez’s arrest on suspicion of murder.
