A male victim was severely injured in a shooting in Watsonville Friday evening, and a teenager was arrested in connection to the shooting, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies found Roberto Martinez Negrete with numerous gunshot wounds at a home on 19 Fremont St. at about 6:30 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. He was taken to a local hospital where he was considered in critical condition. Deputies arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection to the shooting. Three male suspects are still at large. An update on the victim’s condition was not immediately available as of noon today. Anyone who knows anything about this shooting is encouraged to call Watsonville police at (831) 768-3300.
