Police are investigating the deaths of two people found inside a home in Concord on Monday night as a possible murder-suicide, Lt. Brandon Richey said.Officers responded to a home in the 2300 block of Bedford Road at about 8:30 p.m. after receiving a distress call.When officers arrived, they found two people lying motionless on the floor inside the house, Richey said.
They were pronounced dead at the scene and identified as Frederik Meurer and Miranda Pretoli, both 32-year-old Concord residents. Richey said it appears they died of gunshot wounds.Investigators believe the couple lived together, and are investigating their deaths as a possible murder-suicide.
Autopsies are scheduled for later this week to determine an official cause of death, but Richey said that so far, investigators do not believe there was a third party involved.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Greg Pardella at (925) 603-5922.
