Fairfield police arrested several men on Saturday for soliciting prostitution along North Texas and West Texas streets.Officers conducted the undercover operation in response to complaints of drugs, alcohol and criminal activity in the area, which police said are problems associated with prostitution. Police arrested 30-year-old Louis Matthews and 39-year-old Armando Torres on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute.
Juan Garcia, 21, was arrested for soliciting a prostitute and driving on a suspended license. A fourth man, 19-year-old Jhovanny Ortega, was arrested for soliciting a prostitute and felony possession of a dangerous weapon.Nichole Brooks, 27, was arrested for an outstanding prostitution warrant.Police said similar enforcement operations will continue throughout the summer.
