Deputies arrested a Seaside man suspected of burglarizing a pharmacy in Prunedale who seemingly fell asleep on the job Friday, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Steven James Cobos, 19, was found sleeping in the CVS Pharmacy, located at 17579 Vierra Canyon Road, after deputies responded to a burglary alarm, officials said. Cobos allegedly pried open the front door to enter the store, deputies said.  No items were taken from the pharmacy and no weapons were found,  authorities said. The sheriff’s office requested the Salinas Police Department’s K9 unit to assist with the search. Cobos was later booked in the Monterey County Jail.
