An Antioch woman was arrested in Pleasant Hill on Wednesday on suspicion of causing a hit-and-run crash that injured a 16-year-old boy, police said.Shortly before 8:30 p.m. police began receiving 911 calls from people reporting a rollover crash blocking northbound lanes of Contra Costa Boulevard at Golf Club Road near Sun Valley Mall.
When officers arrived, they found a vehicle on its roof in the roadway.The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old boy, had suffered a minor injury to his lower arm and had already managed to get out of the vehicle.The boy’s parent refused further emergency medical treatment for him.Officers learned that three vehicles had been involved in the crash and that the driver believed to be at fault had fled the scene, police said.
Officers identified the fleeing driver as 31-year-old Antioch resident Ramona Croitor.Police found Croitor and arrested her on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing injury, police said.Contra Costa Boulevard was closed for about half an hour while officers investigated the crash.
