The FBI and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Portola Valley Monday morning. A suspect entered a Chase Bank at the 3100 block of Alpine Road at around 9:15 a.m., FBI officials said. The man approached a bank teller, told the teller he was armed, and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash, officials said. The suspect was described as a white man between 40 to 45 years old, around 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, and about 140 to 150 pounds, according to officials. He has brown hair, a mustache, and was wearing a yellow jacket and a white baseball cap.
