* Samuel Rosales Arrested by Monterey Sheriff’s Deputies for Alleged Attempted Burglary in Castroville

A Castroville man was arrested by Monterey County Sheriff’s Office deputies for allegedly attempting to burglarize a home Saturday afternoon. Samuel Rosales, 22, was arrested for allegedly pulling off a window screen of a Castroville home and trying to enter at about 12:45 p.m., authorities said. Deputies from the sheriff’s office arrived to the 11500 block of Main Street after the victim called police reporting a burglary in progress. Rosales ran away from the house, but he was identified shortly after and found at his home nearby, according to the sheriff’s office. Rosales was arrested for suspicion of attempted burglary and a violation of probation and was booked into Monterey County jail.
