Gilroy police arrested a man suspected of attacking another man with a knife late Saturday night, authorities said. Police officers arrested Michael Pritchard, 27, under suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in the 700 block of West Ninth Street at about 11 p.m., officials said. Pritchard allegedly made threats to harm a 30-year-old man with a knife, according to Gilroy police. The suspect allegedly cut himself with the knife before police arrived. The victim suffered injuries that were not life threatening, and Pritchard received medical treatment at a local hospital, officials said. His injuries were also not life threatening. After being released from the hospital, Pritchard was booked into the San Jose jail.
