* Man Shot in the Leg in the Bayview District in San Francisco

San Francisco police are investigating a shooting involving a man who was shot in the leg in the Bayview district this morning, officials said. The man was shot in the 1000 block of Le Conte Avenue at about 5:30 a.m., Lt. Troy Dangerfield said in a news release. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The suspect, described by police as a black man, left the scene in an unknown vehicle, and it was not clear what direction the vehicle was headed, officials said. Early police investigation shows that the shooting appears to be robbery motivated, Dangerfield said in a statement. No further information is available.
