Officers have closed down the 1500 block of Pacific Avenue in Santa Cruz while a bomb squad investigates suspicious packages left at the Bank of the West, according to police. Traffic has been rerouted near the block around Front, Water, Center, and Mission streets while responding investigators assess the situation, police said. Officers estimate traffic will be impacted for up to three hours. A police spokesperson was not immediately available to comment.
