* Oakland Police Report a 14 Year Old Girl Kidnapped and Sexually Assaulted Near Bancroft Ave and Church St.

Sexual Assault of Girl in East Oakland

The Oakland Police Department took a report of a sexual assault of a 14 year old girl on March 28th, 2011. The female victim reported being kidnapped from the area of Bancroft Ave and Church St at approximately midnight and driven to another location where she was sexually assaulted. She described the three male suspects as Black men in a blue Lexus. The suspect descriptions are as follows:

A Black man approximately 40 years old, 5’11 tall, 280 pounds, with a bald head
A Black man approximately 40 years old, 6’tall, 180 pounds, with a bald head
A Black man 20 years old, 5’5 tall, 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes

This incident is a high priority to the Oakland Police Department and investigators from the Special Victims Unit have been assigned to the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Youth and Family Services Division at 510-238-3641

Please practice caution when going about your daily activities including coming to and from your home. The following safety tips are being provided as reminders:
1)      Always be aware of your surroundings and don’t become distracted by electronic devices including cell phones.
2)      Stay in well lit and populated areas when traveling alone.
3)      Be especially alert when coming and going from your vehicle.
4)      If someone or something looks suspicious please call the police.
