* San Jose Police Need to Identify Safeway Robber

The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the man in these photos. According to Detective Craig Storlie, on January 30, 2011, at 11:30 PM, this suspect entered Safeway located at 1663 Branham Lane. Once inside, the suspect loaded a shopping cart full of groceries and exited the store without paying for the items. When the employee attemted to stop the suspect and the suspect assaulted the him. The suspect then fled with the store’s property and was last seen running on Ross Avenue. The suspect was described as: Hispanic,Male, about 25-27 years old, 5′-1″, 130 lbs, wearing black coat, red and black hat, jeans and black shoes.
