* Juan Reyes Arrested for Probation Violation After Bullet Proof Vest Allegedly Found in His Home in Monterey County

Deputies allegedly discovered a bulletproof vest during a probation search of a Monterey County man’s home on Thursday, sheriff’s officials said. The deputies also allegedly found a significant amount of gang indicia at the home of 19-year-old Juan Reyes, officials said. Reyes also had tattoos that verified his membership with the Norteno gang, deputies said. The search was conducted at Reyes’ home at 24356 Washington St. in Chualar at around 3 p.m. Reyes was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
