Published by on March 16, 2011

Law enforcement agencies in Contra Costa County will be out in force this St. Patrick’s Day targeting drunken drivers, sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said Tuesday. The county’s Avoid the 25 Campaign will include a DUI warrant sweep in Richmond and nearly 20 saturation patrols in cities throughout the county looking for impaired drivers, Lee said. Those patrols will be in addition to officers and deputies already scheduled to work on St. Patrick’s Day.
