* Mother and Son Robbed at Pleasant Hill Plaza Shopping Center

Police are on the lookout for two suspects who tore through a pocket in a woman’s pants and stole her cash in Pleasant Hill this afternoon, according to the Pleasant Hill Police Department. A 62-year-old woman and her son were approached by two suspects in a parking lot near 20 Crescent Drive, which is the location of the Pleasant Hill Plaza Shopping Center, at about 4:20 p.m., according to police. The suspects, both men in their early 20s, offered to repair some dents on the mother and son’s car, police said. The men rubbed a compound on the car and then demanded $300 for the work. The son, who is 26 years old, said he didn’t have the money, so the suspects told him to go to a nearby ATM, police said. The woman revealed to the suspects that she had cash in her pocket, but when she put the money back in her pocket, one of the men ripped her pants and took the cash, according to police. The suspects fled in a white American-model SUV similar to a Chevy, police said. The first suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, 5 feet 6 inches, with a goatee and a thin build, wearing a black Oakland A’s hat, white T-shirt and white tennis shoes. The second suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, 5 feet 6 inches, thin build, wearing a white T-shirt and white tennis shoes.
