San Leandro police are asking for the public’s help solving a shooting that occurred Friday night in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Officers responded at about 9:30 p.m. to reports of a gunshot victim in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 15555 Hesperian Blvd., but no victim was found, police said. About five minutes later, San Leandro Hospital personnel called police and said a gunshot victim had been dropped off at the emergency room. The 25-year-old victim, who had been shot in the neck and suffered a broken jaw, was transported to Eden Medical Center’s trauma unit, police said. The man is expected to recover from his injuries. Police had not made any arrests early this morning and were asking for the public’s help with the case.
