* Burglar Timothy Chapek Calls 911 on Himself in Portland, Oregon

Oregon Police report that Timothy Chapek was allegedly burglarizing a home when the homeowner returned home. Chapek locked himself in the bathroom and called 911 and told police he was afraid the homeowner might have a gun. The owner, accompanied by his two German Shepherds, had asked Chapek what he was doing and then called 9-1-1. Portland police officers arrived at the residence, which is in the 2700 block of Southwest Rutland Terrace, and arrested Chapek. The man is being held at the Multnomah County Jail on the charge of first-degree criminal trespass.
