* Americas Best Value Inn Robbed by 4 Men in Fairfield

A Fairfield hotel was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon and police are searching for suspects. Two men entered the front office of the Americas Best Value Inn in the 3300 block of N. Texas Street at about 2:30 p.m., police said. The suspects forced two employees into a bathroom before they searched the office, check-in area, and living quarters. One of the suspects was armed with a black handgun and both men ran away from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. The employees were not injured. The suspects were last seen running towards the rear of the hotel and no vehicle was seen, police said. The first suspect was described as a black man between 25 and 30 years old, with black hair, brown eyes, about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with freckles or dark spots. He was wearing all black clothing. The second suspect was described as a black man between 25 and 30 years old, with black hair, brown eyes, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray and white knit cap and a black puffy jacket.
