* Bacchus DeFalco Arrested in Carmel for Alleged Theft of Laptop Computer

A man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing a laptop from a church in Carmel, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Bacchus DeFalco, 49, was spending the night at the Community Church of Monterey Peninsula at 4590 Carmel Valley Road on Wednesday when reports came in to the sheriff’s office that he may be carrying a stolen laptop, investigators said. The computer had been taken from St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Carmel the previous week. The laptop was recovered and DeFalco was arrested on suspicion of  theft, investigators said. DeFalco allegedly gave false information to an officer and was carrying less than an ounce of marijuana, according to the sheriff’s office.
