* Ivan Orozco 19-Year-Old Shot To Death In His Car On Cherry Street In Vallejo

Officers in Vallejo are investigating the city’s ninth homicide of 2009 following a fatal shooting this morning, according to police.Units responded to a call reporting multiple gunshots heard in the 900 block of Cherry Street at around 1:45 a.m., according to the Vallejo Police Department.Arriving officers found 19-year-old Ivan Orozco in a car suffering numerous gunshot wounds, police reported. Fire and medical personnel pronounced the Vallejo man dead at the scene.A preliminary investigation indicates Orozco was the victim of an attempted robbery, according to police. Witnesses reported seeing three men wearing hoodies running from the area after the shooting. Anyone with information regarding the homicide is asked to contact Vallejo police Detectives Wentz or Cosgrove at (800) 488-9383.
