* Body of Suspected Juliani Cardenas Kidnapper Jose Rodriguez Possibly Found in Delta-Mendota Canal

Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputies report that this morning, they found a body floating in the Delta-Mendota Canal in Patterson, California. A dive team recovered the body of an adult Hispanic male that appears to be suspected kidnapper Jose Rodriguez. Rodriguez who is suspected of kidnapping four year old Juliani Cardenas and then driving into the Delta-Mendota Canal. The body was found about 10 miles south of the location where Rodriguez is suspected of driving his car into the canal with Juliani after kidnapping the child from his grandmother about one month ago. An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday. Positive identification will be made through evidence recovery, dental records or DNA.
