* 7 Year Old Boy Allegedly Molested at Oakland Boys and Girls Club

Police are investigating a report that a 7-year-old boy was sexually assaulted at the Oakland Boys and Girls Club on International Boulevard Wednesday night, a police spokeswoman said today. Officer Holly Joshi said police were called to Children’s Hospital in Oakland at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving information that the boy had been attacked. The boy said he was sexually assaulted while at the club, located at 8530 International Blvd., at about 7 p.m. Wednesday, Joshi said. The suspects in the assault are also juvenile males, according to Joshi. She said the incident is a high priority to the Oakland Police Department and the investigation into it is ongoing. Joshi said anyone with information about it is asked to call the Youth and Family Services Division at (510) 238-3641. Officials at the Oakland Boys and Girls Club were not immediately available for comment.
