* Woman’s Body Found On Branham Lane in San Jose

A woman’s body was found decomposing in a residential area of San Jose on Wednesday, a police spokesman said. At about 9:30 p.m., the San Jose Police Department received a report of a dead body lying in the 1000 block of Branham Lane, San Jose police Officer Jose Garcia said. Officers arrived at the scene and found a woman’s body in an advanced state of decomposition, according to Garcia. Judging by the condition of the body, police believe that the victim had been dead for some time, he said. The San Jose Police Department’s homicide unit is investigating the death. Police declined to provide further information about the incident.
