The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the men in this video. According to detectives, on December 26, 2010, at 8:30 p.m., Newton Area patrol officers responded to a robbery call in the 6000 block of South Avalon Boulevard. When officers arrived, they were met by victims inside the store.
An investigation revealed that two employees were working at a liquor store, when three men entered the store. Two of the men were allegedly armed with semi-automatic handguns. During the incident one of the suspects chased an employee to the back of the store, where the employee managed to lock himself inside of a room. The other suspects demanded the money from the register, and the second employee complied with their demands. The robbers placed the money in a bag along with merchandise they gathered from the store shelves. The suspects then ran out of the store and drove away in a gray four door compact car with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. Detectives say that the trio of suspects may have allegedly committed several other robberies in the area. The suspects were described as African American men in their early twenties.
