Petaluma police are alerting residents to a robbery that took place Thursday night in which two armed suspects approached a man and stole his personal property.A 20-year-old victim called police at 11:07 p.m. to report that he had just been robbed at gunpoint in the 900 block of Daniel Drive, police said.The victim, who was unharmed in the confrontation, told police that two Hispanic men in their late teens approached him and snatched a bag of clothing along with other personal items.Officers responding with a K-9 unit searched the area and found the victim’s belongings strewn about the ground on Ivy Lane. All stolen items were recovered, but the suspects was not located.Witness reports indicated that the suspects might have jumped a fence into a backyard in the 800 block of Crinella Drive,but a police search of nearby yards failed to locate the men.The victim said the suspects wore blue bandanas over their faces, and another witness said at least one of the men was wearing a white T-shirt.
