I hate the fact that local cities are attempting to balance the budget on the back of tax payers. Red light cameras are simply put there to make MONEY. It is a backdoor tax that voters have no say. The ticket could cost you between $400 and $700 if you go to school to get it off your record. The cities wont tell you that the Majority of those tickets are given to people going over the line and making right hand turns. There is no data to support that this stops accidents. Some cities have been caught changing the yellow light so that the camera will catch people in the intersection. That is a serious safety issue and causes accidents. You will never read about that type of fraud that some city officials have been involved in. It is time to say no to backdoor tax and fees imposed by courts. I don’t agree with running red lights and if you get caught then you should get a ticket and sometimes a warning is more appropriate. This cant happen with this money making scheme. I bought one and I am sure it will help me be a better driver and have the piece of mind that I am not funding some crooked city officials round of golf.
The Cheetah C50 warns you in advance about speed camera locations and high risk accident zones.
Using the C50 will make you more aware of your speed, your surroundings and approaching road hazards. You’ll know where to watch out for red light runners or drivers slamming on their brakes unexpectedly. And if you are distracted for any reason (mobile phone, kids, changing radio stations, etc) the safety alerts will focus your attention back onto the road when you need it most.
