On Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at approximately 12:30 p.m., San Jose police officers and Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 4000 block of Higuera Road on the report of a suspicious male with a knife.
Soon after several officers and a deputy Sheriff arrived on scene and located the suspect in a creek bed on the property, one of the San Jose officers fired multiple shots at the suspect, who was holding a knife. The male suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect’s identity is being withheld pending further investigation and coroner’s autopsy report. This case is being investigated by the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
