* Maurice Williamson identified as San Francisco’s 18-year-old shot to death on Cashmere Street

A shooting Tuesday night in San Francisco’s Bayview District that left an 18-year-old man dead may have been the result of gang violence, police said today.The victim was identified by the medical examiner’s office today as Maurice Williamson, of San Francisco. Police responded to the 200 block of Cashmere Street at about 7:45 p.m. and found Williams outside, a police spokesman said Tuesday night. He had been shot in the head. Williamson was pronounced dead at the scene.Police spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield said today that investigators believe the killing may have been gang-related.No arrests have been made, and no suspect description was available. The shooting is San Francisco’s 49th homicide this year.
