In 1985 he walked away from a prison program and shot a security guard in another robbery. n May 1986, Dominic Cinelli pleaded guilty to five armed robberies in Suffolk Superior Court and was sentenced to 25 years in prison, but cut his wrists in a holding cell and was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he used a toy gun to disarm a Suffolk County deputy, then used the deputy’s gun to steal a car. He was eventually sentenced to three life sentences. In 2005, a state appeals court ruled that he should be eligible for parole and after four years, he walked free 2009. Dominic Cinelli was then shot and killed in the shootout with Officer John Maguire. Alleged accomplice Scott Hanwright was charged with first-degree murder and ordered held without bail. This shows that the system is screwed up. the family should sue all those involved in letting this dirtbag out. The Judges and courts are never held accountable for screwing up. If the street officer did not do his job you bet he would be fired and on the hook. Anyone know the names of the judges and DA’s who allowed this to happen?
