South San Francisco police are searching for three men suspected of gunning down six men, killing two,Wednesday evening, a police officer said.Police responded to reports of a shooting near Linden Avenue and Eighth Lane at about 7:15 p.m., police Sgt. Joni Lee said.Responding officers found two male victims who were pronounced dead at the scene, and another who was critically injured.
They were found lying on one side of Eighth Lane, Lee said.The other three victims had apparently fled to the other side of the street, Lee said. Police found them with injuries that were not considered life threatening. The surviving victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment, Lee said.
Police are looking for three Hispanic men in their late teens or early 20s who fled the scene in a brown Chevy Impala from about 2000 or 2002 with tinted windows, Lee said. As of 12:30 a.m., the San Mateo County coroner’s office had not yet identified the deceased victims.
