Two people were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of robbing a Watsonville 7-Eleven store at gunpoint last weekend, according to police. The men were arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday at the 7-Eleven store located at 455 Airport Blvd., police said. Witnesses told police three male suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business and fled. They said at least one of them was armed and fired one round into the store as they were leaving, according to police. No one inside the store was harmed, police said. Police were able to identify two of the three suspects and obtained warrants for their arrest. The two were arrested Wednesday Police identified the armed suspect as George Argueta, 18. He is being held at Santa Cruz County jail in lieu of $425,000 bail. The second suspect is a 16-year-old juvenile. He was booked into juvenile hall. Both were booked on charges of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, using a firearm during the commission of a felony, and gang enhancements, police said.
