A woman who was stabbed to death Monday during an argument in a parking lot in Antioch has been identified as 44-year-old Arlene Jefferson, a Contra Costa County deputy coroner said today. The stabbing happened at about 10 a.m. in the parking of the Delta Fair Shopping Center at 2950 Delta Fair Blvd., Antioch police said. When officers arrived, they found Jefferson, an Antioch resident, suffering from stab wounds, police said. She was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Officers arrested Roy Crites, a 56-year-old Antioch resident, at the scene and recovered the knife allegedly used in the attack, police said. Investigators believe Crites and Jefferson were arguing in the parking lot when Crites allegedly stabbed her, according to police. Crites was being held at county jail in Martinez on $1 million bail.
