Police are searching for the driver of a pickup truck that struck and killed a woman in Antioch early this morning. Officers responded to reports of a woman who had been struck by a car at 1725 Cavallo Road, where they found the female victim in the roadway at about 1:50 a.m. The woman has sustained significant wounds, and was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to those injuries. According to police, the woman was heard arguing with someone in the parking lot at that address just before she was dragged by the vehicle. Police are looking for the involved vehicle — a late model silver four-door Nissan Frontier pickup truck with a luggage rack atop the cab. The vehicle was last seen speeding from the scene northbound on Cavallo Road.
