Police arrested a teenage man this afternoon on suspicion of shooting another man in the face Friday night. Troy McDaniels, 19, of Fairfield, was arrested after allegedly leading officers on a car chase at about 4:45 p.m. Officers found McDaniels driving away from his home today, and after a 10 minute chase, he pulled over and surrendered in the Cordelia  neighborhood, police said. On Friday, McDaniels was among a group of juveniles who were fighting in the streets near the 1200 block of Van Buren Street at about 5 p.m., police said. He allegedly opened fire during the fight, and a 29-year-old man was struck in the face by at least one bullet, police said. The victim was taken by his family to a local hospital and later transferred to a Sacramento trauma center, where he was considered in stable condition. Two local juveniles were arrested and booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of their involvement in the incident. They face charges of attempted murder, police said. After being taken into custody, McDaniels was linked to being the shooter from physical evidence found in his car. He was booked in Solano County Jail and faces charges of attempted murder, evading arrest and various weapons charges, police said.
