A Stockton man was charged today with multiple counts of residential robbery and burglary in connection with a takeover robbery in Oakland last week, according to Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason. However, a second suspect in the robbery in the 3300 block of Wisconsin Street at about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday remains at large, Thomason said. Suspect Romier Simmons, 24, who was arrested a few blocks away shortly after the robbery, was arraigned at a brief hearing in Alameda County Superior Court today and is being held in custody in lieu of $1.7 million bail. In addition to the robbery and burglary charges, Simmons is  charged with violating his probation from a prior felony case. Authorities also issued a probable cause arrest warrant for 23-year-old Hayward resident Christopher Malbrough, which accuses him of residential robbery and burglary for the takeover robbery.
