Fugitive Watch has extended the long arm of the law even further now. They have expanded their hunt for fugitives internationally by televising their TV news program via podcasts on the worldwide web. The 10 minute weekly podcasts are hard hitting, focusing on violent crimes and dangerous fugitives. The podcasts will feature 4 to 5 intense crimes stories or violent fugitives in hopes the added exposure will expand the law enforcement net needed to develop leads or result in fugitive captures. To date, the 18 year old TV, newspaper and web site has led to the capture of over 1,000 men and women on run from the law. The podcasts are broadcast on their web site www.fugitive.com as well as the popular You Tube web site.
This week’s podcast features a violent Los Angeles robbery of a 5 year old boy that was captured by surveillance cameras, an alleged double murder committed by Mexican Drug Cartel hitmen in Brownsville, Texas, a San Jose attack on a female committed on the local light rail system and Omar Sosa wanted by police in Berkeley for an alleged sexual assault.
Fugitive Watch started in 1992, as a public service, is the brainchild of San Jose police officers Steve Ferdin and Scott Castruita. Their 30 minute cable television program is broadcast throughout northern California. They also have a local newspaper and a website www.fugitive.com.
