A man was fatally shot in East Oakland on Friday evening, a police spokesman said today. Germaine Allen, 20, was killed in a shooting reported at about 7:05 p.m. Friday in the 2400 block of 88th Avenue, Oakland police Officer Jeff Thomason said. Officers arrived in the area and found Allen, an Oakland resident, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Thomason said. No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available in connection with the shooting, he said.
