A man who was killed in a shooting in Richmond Wednesday morning has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office as Aaron Wilson. The shooting occurred at about 10:20 a.m. in the area of South 30th Street and Cutting Boulevard, Richmond police Sgt. Bisa French said. Police received numerous calls about the shooting, and the gunfire activated the city’s ShotSpotter system, French said. Wilson, a San Pablo resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, but investigators have learned that the shooter approached Wilson on foot, then fled in a dark blue, early to mid-2000s Chevy Suburban, French said. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
