Police have arrested a suspect in the armed robbery of a Concord restaurant early Tuesday morning. Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Red Dragon Restaurant and Bar at 3491 Clayton Road in Concord at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday. Restaurant employees told police that a man had entered the restaurant as it was closing for the night, pointed a handgun at them and ordered them to the floor. The man stole money and cell phones from the employees and then fled on foot before officers arrived, police said. Police searched the area but didn’t find the man. Detectives later identified 26-year-old Tajuan Harris as a suspect in the case, police said. Though Harris’ last known address was in San Antonio, Texas, officers were able to track him down at a motel in Walnut Creek on Wednesday afternoon, police said. Harris was arrested without incident when he exited his motel room, police said. Walnut Creek police assisted in the arrest, Concord police said. Evidence linking Harris to the Red Dragon restaurant robbery was found in the hotel room, police said.
