A police standoff at a gas station near Mills College in Oakland ended peacefully this morning with four robbery suspects taken into custody, a police spokeswoman said.The standoff began at about 9 a.m. at Seminary Gas and Food, located at 6235 Seminary Ave., Oakland police Officer Holly Joshi said.Officers spotted a car near Seminary and Sunnymere avenues that matched the description of a vehicle involved in a series of robberies in Oakland earlier this morning, including one in the 2800 block of 19th Avenue at about 8:35 a.m. in which someone was shot, Joshi said.She did not have information on the victim’s condition.Two suspects in the vehicle were taken into custody, and two more fled into the gas station’s convenience store. Police surrounded the store and the two suspects eventually surrendered peacefully, Joshi said.Police are working to identify the suspects, three males and a female, she said.The gas station was cleared as of 10 a.m., Joshi said.
